Our Kitchen

Our hospital kitchen is not Halal-certified. There is no dedicated space for Halal food preparation, and meals are prepared using shared facilities and equipment that are also used for non-Halal foods. However, these are cleaned using a high-temperature dishwasher.

Meat

We can provide meals with the following options:
・Meals Excluding All Pork Products
・Meals Excluding All Meat (Chicken and Beef)
If there are specific foods you can consume, such as fish, eggs, or butter, please inform us in advance.

Seasonings

Ingredients such as soy sauce, mirin, cooking sake, miso, mayonnaise, and ketchup may contain “brewed alcohol” (not pure alcohol).

If you prefer to avoid seasonings that may contain untraceable ingredients or brewed alcohol, we can provide meals seasoned only with salt and pepper.

Preserved Foods

If you are able to consume canned fruits, yogurt, gelatin-free jelly, or pudding, we can provide these options.

Tableware and Cutlery

We use a dishwasher that cleans at high temperatures. Since this is a hospital, our dishwasher has a higher cleaning capacity than standard commercial dishwashers.

We use commonly available detergents in Japan, which do not contain soil, sand, or clay components.
In addition to chopsticks, we can provide spoons and forks upon request.

Staple Foods

{Rice or Porridge}
The base options for staple foods are “rice” and “RICE porridge,” which are not contaminated with animal-derived products during preparation.

{Bread}
- The bread served at our hospital contains yeast-based additives.
- The oven used to bake the bread is shared with non-Halal ingredients. The oven is cleaned daily.

Since bringing outside food is prohibited, our hospital meals will accommodate patients’ religious preferences to as much as possible.
