Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

About Us

Our team consists of 3 full-time oral surgeons, 1 part-time oral surgeon, and 5 dental hygienists. We focus on oral and maxillofacial surgical care (not general dentistry such as fillings, periodontal care, or dentures). As an Emergency and Critical Care hospital, we see many maxillofacial trauma cases, especially facial bone fractures, and collaborate closely with Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery to safely manage patients on anticoagulants or antiplatelet therapy. We also fabricate oral appliances (e.g., mandibular advancement devices, SilentNite®) for patients diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea at other facilities, and actively provide peri-operative oral care and swallowing evaluations (including FEES) with our speech-language pathologists.
