Can I use my own phone or app for interpretation?

No. To ensure secure communication, we will provide you with a hospital-issued iPad or iPhone to access our official interpretation service.

Will my conversation be private?

Yes. While the conversation may be recorded for quality assurance, all recordings and personal information are securely stored and kept strictly confidential in accordance with privacy regulations.

Do I need to make a reservation in advance?

For common languages like Chinese and Vietnamese, interpretation is usually available without a reservation. However, for less commonly used languages, we may require advance booking to ensure availability.

Will the interpreter be a real person or AI?

All interpretation services are conducted by professional human interpreters, not AI. This ensures greater accuracy and empathy, especially for medical conversations.

Is this service really free?

Yes, our remote medical interpretation service is completely free of charge for all patients receiving care at our hospital.
