Vice President / Chief of Urology / Director, Robotic Surgery Centre
Kishiwada Tokushukai Hospital
A Proctor certification is awarded to surgeons who meet high standards in robotic surgery,
allowing them to train and supervise other surgeons performing da Vinci procedures.
In Japan, this certification is held by only a limited number of urologists.
For patients, this means your surgery is performed by a surgeon whose technique
has been independently evaluated through peer assessment.
Also treats kidney cancer, upper urinary tract cancer, and bladder cancer —
see the Urology department page for full scope.
The Centre performed 91 urological robotic procedures in 2023,
including prostatectomy, partial nephrectomy, radical nephrectomy, and nephroureterectomy.
Robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery is offered where appropriate,
alongside open and endoscopic techniques.
Options and expected outcomes are discussed before any decision is made.
through the International Medical Support Office.
Existing test results, imaging, and biopsy reports from overseas institutions are accepted.
Surgery can typically be arranged within weeks of initial assessment.
