Important Information About Medications
If you are currently taking any medications, please bring them with you when visiting our hospital.

Guidelines for Bringing Medications

  • 1
    Bring the Full Package
    If your medications were prescribed in Japan, please bring the full medication package together with your Okusuri-techo (Medication Handbook).
  • 2
    Medications from Your Home Country
    If you are taking medications prescribed in your home country, or medications purchased from a pharmacy without a prescription, you must bring them with you when visiting the hospital.
    Without this information, it will be difficult for doctors to understand what medications you are currently taking.

    Medication Compatibility
    Please note that medications available in Japan may differ from those used in other countries.
    Even if the brand name differs, our doctors may prescribe a medication with the same active ingredient or a similar therapeutic effect.

    Different Medication Names
    The same medicine may have different brand names in different countries.
    If possible, please bring the medication package, your medication handbook, or a photo of the medication label.
  • 5
    Controlled Pain Medications
    Some strong opioid pain medications are strictly regulated in Japan.
    Our hospital does not provide prescriptions for controlled pain medications for travel purposes.

Important Reminder
If you are currently taking medications, bringing them with you is mandatory.
Failure to bring information about your current medications may make it difficult for doctors to safely adjust your medications.

    即使商品名称不同，医生也可能会为您开具有相同有效成分或类似治疗效果的药物。

    同一种药物在不同国家可能使用不同的商品名。
    如有可能，请携带药品包装、用药手册，或药品标签的照片。

    受管制的强效止痛药
    某些强效阿片类止痛药在日本受到严格管制。
    本院不会为旅行目的开具此类受管制止痛药的处方。
