Join the Peritoneal Metastasis Team at Kishiwada Tokushukai Hospital
Kishiwada Tokushukai Hospital welcomes enquiries from physicians who are interested in developing clinical and surgical experience in the treatment of peritoneal metastasis.
The Peritoneal Metastasis Center is led by Yutaka Yonemura, M.D., Ph.D., and provides integrated treatment that may include intraperitoneal chemotherapy, cytoreductive surgery (CRS), and HIPEC.
Physicians joining the team have the opportunity to work in a highly specialised clinical environment focused on the assessment and treatment of patients with peritoneal metastasis.
Who We Are Looking For
This opportunity is intended for physicians who:
hold a valid medical licence in Japan and relevant specialist certification;
have established clinical experience in gastrointestinal surgery or surgical oncology;
are seeking greater operative exposure and experience in complex surgery for peritoneal metastasis;
have an interest in CRS, HIPEC, intraperitoneal chemotherapy, and multidisciplinary care;
are interested in working in an international clinical and academic environment.
Previous experience in peritoneal metastasis treatment is not necessarily required.
Clinical Environment
The Peritoneal Metastasis Center receives patients from Japan and overseas.
Clinical work includes the assessment and treatment of complex cases of peritoneal metastasis, with treatment strategies developed according to each patient’s disease, clinical findings, and response to treatment.
Physicians may also have opportunities to work alongside visiting doctors from overseas who come to Kishiwada Tokushukai Hospital for clinical training.
International and Academic Environment
Dr Yonemura has trained physicians from more than 20 countries in the field of peritoneal metastasis.
The team is also involved in clinical research, publications, and international academic activities related to peritoneal surface malignancy.
