About Us
Our department offers specialized outpatient services such as asthma and allergy, vaccination and health checkups for infants and toddlers. We are committed to delivering high-quality pediatric care tailored to the needs of each child.
To ease the burden on families, we also strive to keep hospital stays as short as possible while ensuring safe and effective treatment.
Additionally, we host several medical lectures throughout the year on topics such as epilepsy, asthma, and other common pediatric conditions. These sessions are designed to provide families with a deeper understanding of their child’s health, covering information that may be difficult to fully explain during regular outpatient visits.
Treatments
To help you get better, it’s important that you, your family, and the doctors and nurses at the hospital work together as a team.
This “Children’s Rights as Patients” statement explains your rights in a way that is easy to understand, so that you can feel safe and supported while you are getting treatment at our hospital.
- You are important and will be treated with respect as a person.
- You have the right to receive the best possible care for you.
- If you have any questions or feel worried about your illness or the treatment, you can always ask someone at the hospital. They will explain it to you clearly, as many times as you need.
- After everything has been explained to you, you have the right to share your own thoughts and feelings with your family and with the hospital staff.
- If there is something you don’t want others to know, you can ask your family or the hospital staff to keep it private.
This statement is based on the principles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Appropriate Use of Antibiotics
Antibiotics are an important medication in pediatrics.
We encourage parents and guardians to have a basic understanding of their proper use.
Q1.Are antibiotics necessary for colds (common cold symptoms)?
A1. No, in principle, they are not necessary.
1.Antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections.
2.Most colds are caused by viruses, and antibiotics are not effective against viruses. Fever does not automatically mean antibiotics are needed.
Q2.Are antibiotics necessary for acute diarrhea?
A2.No, in principle, they are not necessary.
1.Most cases of acute diarrhea are caused by viruses, and antibiotics are not effective.
2.Even in bacterial diarrhea (such as food poisoning caused by Salmonella or pathogenic E. coli), the use of antibiotics is not always recommended.
Q3.In what situations are antibiotics necessary?
A3.They are effective when the illness is caused by a bacterial infection.
1.Antibiotics are necessary for treating bacterial pharyngitis, otitis media (middle ear infection), bronchitis, pneumonia, and similar conditions.
2.In cases of bacterial diarrhea with severe symptoms, antibiotics may be considered.
3.Even if the illness starts as a viral infection, antibiotics may be needed if complications occur during the course of the illness.
Q4.Why is it important to use antibiotics correctly?
A4. Improper use can lead to the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria (bacteria that are no longer affected by antibiotics).
1.If an illness is caused by resistant bacteria, effective treatment becomes difficult or impossible.
2.It is important to use the appropriate antibiotic for each illness—at the right time, in the right dose, and for the correct duration.
